How much did she pay? $80.00! Now that’s what I call cost effective! But fair warning, be very careful when purchasing these items from auction sites. Make sure that the you can see an enlarged pic of the wedding dress and check to see if the damaged is minimal or nil. Also check the seller’s ratings and feedback to confirm that they have a history of selling quality goods to their consumers.
Sample Sales: Make sure to read the newspaper or check the internet daily for wedding dresses on sale! There a quite a few bridal shops that advertise their bargain prices and sometimes there are coupon codes offered as well! Keep in mind that most stores that have sample sales only carry dresses in a few sizes. In the event that you run into a dress that you love, but it’s too big, take it to a seamstress to get it tailored. Either way, it’s a cost effective way to get the wedding dress of your dreams.
Thrift Shops or Consignment Stores: Don’t sleep on your neighborhood thrift shop or consignment store; there are usually great finds there! Keep in mind that these wedding dresses are gently used but the possibility of a bargain is endless! Before you buy a wedding dress from a thrift shop or consignment store, please consider this; Consignment stores usually accept clothes that are in good, if not better, condition. With thrift stores, anything goes. If purchasing a wedding dress in a thrift shop, examine it thoroughly and make note of stains, holes, tears or any other damage. Only purchase if you are sure that you can get the dress repaired as most of these stores have a no refund policy. If purchasing a dress from a consignment shop- check out the neighborhood.
